Your Wedding Toastmaster in Cambridge

For my last function of 2018, Your Wedding Toastmaster was in Cambridge and was once again at the wonderful DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge Belfry, where I had the absolute pleasure of being Jemma & Marcus’s Toastmaster.
A really lovely couple who transformed the Peterhouse Room into a ‘Winter Wonderland’ for their Wedding Breakfast location.
Great to again work alongside Jade, Callum and the team.
Many congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Radburn 😁!

Our lovely Bride provided this lovely feedback –
“Thank you for all your support and patience Ian. So glad you were part of our memories and for keeping us on track”.

Toastmaster & Master of Ceremonies in Northampton

On Saturday 10th November 2018, I had the very great pleasure of being the Toastmaster & Master of Ceremonies in Northampton at the Northampton Marriott Hotel. I was providing my Toastmaster services for Kingsway Lodge’s Ladies Night at this new location for me.
A lovely evening with really great guests who enjoyed a very tasty Banquet including the traditional wine takings. Four really good speeches and I had the honour of singing the ‘Ladies Song’ again.
Thanks to Jenny & the team at the Northampton Marriott Hotel for looking after us.
Many congratulations to the President & his Lady, Jim & Joan. Northampton Marriot Master of Ceremonies

Guild of Professional Toastmasters 50th Anniversary

On Saturday 3rd November 2018, I was honoured to be present at Pendley Manor in Tring, Herts, to celebrate the Guild of Professional Toastmasters 50th Anniversary. Guild members regularly provide Pendley Manor with their professional Toastmaster Wedding services, as well as other functions.

As a Fellow of the Guild of Professional Toastmasters, which is a very great priviledge to be, I joined other Fellows, Honourary members, Graduates of the Professional Toastmasters Academy, together with their guests, to celebrate this very auspicious occasion. We enjoyed a lovely, formal Banquet alongside some formal toasts and speeches. During the evening we were highly entertained by an excellent table magician, Steve Dean, and the wonderful music skills of Vanessa Hastings. The DJ skills of myself and two other fellows, Andi & Andy, provided the evening entertainment and music for dancing.

Cambs Wedding Toastmaster at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge Belfry

On Sunday 23rd September 2018, I had the great honour of being Olivia & Andrew’s Toastmaster at the superb DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge Belfry.

A lovely civil ceremony was followed by reception drinks and photos in the courtyard and by the Lake. Following their formal entry our Bride, Bridegroom and their family and friends enjoyed a superb Wedding Breakfast followed by three heartfelt speeches.

Thank you to our wonderful couple for allowing me to play, as the recommended Toastmaster at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge Belfry’s recommended Toastmaster, a small in your very special Wedding Day. Many congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Rowland!

And this wonderful feedback was received from our Bride & Bridgroom:-

Olivia and I just wanted to say a massive thank you for everything you did at our wedding yesterday.
It was great to have you there to ensure that the wedding ran exactly as it should and that people were where they needed to be at the right time. (This definitely meant that we didn’t have to worry about rounding people up)! It was also great that you supported our photographer in getting the group shots that we wanted to in the most efficient way possible for our guests.
You really understood our needs and delivered this with a formality appropriate for our wedding – and we found it easy to build a great rapport with you in such a short space of time. We also received many positive comments from our guests about your speech at the end of the wedding breakfast and the professionalism that you showed throughout the day.
Thank you again for everything.”

Herts Wedding Toastmaster at Shendish Manor

What a really wonderful day on Saturday 22nd September 2018, where I had the absolute pleasure of being Lisa & Kevin’s Wedding Toastmaster at the lovely Shendish Manor Hotel & Golf Course. A really great couple on their lovely Wedding Day!

A lunchtime Civil Ceremony was followed by limited photos in the grounds, as the rain wasn’t kind to us. A real shame as these beautiful grounds are maintained by the Bridegroom! During the drinks reception, we were all entertained by the very talented Abi Rose Sax. The sumptuous Wedding Breakfast included three great speeches, which I had the pleasure of announcing after the main course. I also had the pleasure of announcing the cutting of the Wedding Cake, as well as Lisa & Kevin’s first dance as Man and Wife. The whole day was captured by the very talented and professional Katrina Matthews Photography.

It was great to be working again alongside Laura, Rachel and the team at Shendish Manor, again as one of their recommended Wedding Toastmaster.

A really lovely day and many congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Clarke!

Your organisation skills were invaluable as it meant I could concentrate on getting on with the photos, and the happy couple and guests knew exactly where they needed to be and when.
